Preparing: Please be prepared to describe your issues in some detail—
it will save you time and money.

Some problems can take longer simply to diagnose than others take to fix. Your patience is appreciated. We will try to provide an ongoing assessment of estimated time whenever possible.

To help us better serve you, please have the following information available:

1. Your Mac's processor and speed (there are hundreds).
Apple Menu > About This Mac

2. The version of Mac OS you're using (also under About this Mac)

3. Any pertinant error messages or suspected causes

4. Troubleshooting steps you've already tried

The following steps apply only to specific types of problems:

5. The specific model number of any device (such as a printer) that's giving you trouble

6. Your type of Internet connection (DSL, Cable) and provider, and your email program (if you use one).

7. In a hard disk failure, any prior unusual behavior you were experiencing

8. In a chronic problem, whether the issue appears to occur randomly, or during specific operations (and what those operations are)
